青光眼

青光眼，是由于视神经病变导致的一种不可逆的神经退行性疾病，其典型的病理表现为视网膜神经节细胞进行性丢失，是全球首位不可逆性致盲眼病¹。据估计，2020年全球约有7600万青光眼患者，其中仅在我国就可达到2100万2。目前最常用的疗法为通过降低和控制眼压以延缓视神经损害，然而，相当一部分的青光眼患者即使眼压得到控制，视功能损害仍然持续进展。因此，临床迫切需要开发新作用机制的疗法来治疗和预防青光眼相关的失明。
